Instrument for accessing all kinds of greed, money unleashes passions, divides, destroys and in some cases leads to death. There are countless dramas related to money: suicide following bankruptcy, murder of a loved one for an inheritance, murder during a robbery gone wrong ... When we arrive in Christ, there is hope that things will be different, but the testimonies of victims of manipulation, racketeering and misappropriation in organizations masquerading as Christs church are still too many. Fortunately, this is not the case everywhere, but it is still important for everyone to ask the right questions. How to donate? Who to give? What does the Lord expect of us? For many, the answer is more than obvious and they will support it by Malachi 3 verse 10:

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”(NKJV)

Pastoral pressure, threats of curse, hope to get blessings in return, and testimonies of people showing how tithing has revolutionized their finances are habits too ingrained to question, their desire to want to obey and please God. Here are some reasons that push thousands of believers to give - besides freewill offerings –the tenth of all their income, ignoring what the Bible really teaches about tithing. Is Tithing Biblical? Yes, because it appears in different Bible scriptures. However, other elements must be considered in order to understand what should be the position of the disciple of the New Covenant in relation to this practice. If sincerity is a good thing, it is the truth and compliance with the Word of God that prevail. Therefore, we must take the time to ask ourselves the right questions and find the answers in the Scriptures to understand the mind of God on tithing and more generally on money.
